The Gaza Strip is experiencing difficult economic conditions, as the lack of employment opportunities and the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. This have  caused increase in the poverty rate. The Palestinian Orphans Home Association has played an important role in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian student by providing school bags to contribute to draw a smile on the students’ faces.

Beneficiaries of Palestinian Orphans Home Association project

Palestinian Orphans Home Association implements a comprehensive survey of the poor families in the Gaza Strip for the school bag project through its branches and monitored, 4000 school students from the schools of the UNRWA and governmental schools (boys and girls), they are distributed according to the distribution percentages approved for the needs of the regions and the population density. The Palestinian Orphan Home Association has contacted with a number of institutions to cover the costs of the school bag project and it received  positive response with generous funding from some of the supporting institutions.

The association , through its branches in the Gaza Strip and in coordination with the schools of the UNRWA and governmental schools  in the Gaza Strip set the dates and times for the implementation of the school bag project where it is distributed to needy students. The bags were supplied to each area according to the number of needy and distribution, and the population density and poverty In the areas and the distribution was centralized and field, and the project had a good impact in introducing joy and pleasure on the faces of students and their families and they expressed their happiness in the receipt of bags and their impact in raising morale and determination to continue their study to get the highest degrees to serve their  country and their people.
